About the Game

Penalty Master is a full penalty shootout cup. You take a penalty, then go in goal and try to save one — best of five, then sudden death. Pick your corner and time a driven shot past the keeper, then read the striker's run-up and dive the right way. Win four shootouts, from the Round of 16 to the Final, against sharper keepers and cleverer strikers each round.

How to Play

Each tie is a shootout: you kick first, then your opponent, five kicks each — it ends early once one side can't catch up, and goes to sudden death if it's level. To shoot, tap one of six zones in the goal, then tap the power bar to lock your power: outside the band the shot goes wide, the bright top of the band is a driven shot that's much harder to save, and a soft shot is easier to stop. When you're in goal, watch the striker — the way they lean and the arrow by the ball hint where they'll shoot — and tap a zone to dive before they strike. Win four ties (Round of 16, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, Final) to win the cup; your best run is saved on this device.

Gameplay Tips

• •Aim for the bright part of the power bar — driven shots beat the keeper far more often, but go past the end and it flies wide.
• •Strikers in early rounds give honest run-ups; later opponents sell a dummy more often, so don't trust the lean blindly in the Final.
• •If you can't read a striker, staying central still stops some shots down the middle — but a committed dive to the right corner is your best chance.
