Read the pitch. Crush it.
Read fastballs, curves, sliders, change-ups and risers — 50 at-bats to become a home run hero.
Home Run Hero is an original baseball batting game with 50 at-bats in five chapters, played from just behind the plate in a floodlit night ballpark. Each pitch is a real flight: fastballs come in straight, curveballs start high and drop, sliders sweep across late, change-ups float in slowly and risers seem to climb at the end. Press and drag to put your bat's sweet spot where the ball will cross the plate, then release to swing. Timing sends the ball to left, centre or right field — and foul if you are far too early or late — while hitting slightly under the ball lifts it towards the seats. Each at-bat sets a goal: a number of hits, home runs, perfect contacts, or balls you correctly let go by, with a strikeout limit. Early levels show a target where the pitch will cross; later pitchers throw faster and mix everything. Every at-bat was played through by a swing search on the game's own contact model, using only swings that still work a little early, late, high or low.
Watch the pitcher wind up and throw. Press anywhere and drag to move the yellow sweet spot onto the place where the ball will cross the plate — it sits a little above your finger so you can still see it — and let go to swing. With a mouse, the sweet spot follows the pointer and a click swings; on a keyboard, move it with the arrow keys and swing with Space. Swing so the bat meets the ball as it reaches the plate: early swings pull the ball to left field, late ones push it to right, and much too early or late is a foul or a miss. A sweet spot just under the ball lifts it into a fly ball — square contact on time goes over the wall. The dashed box is the strike zone: pitches outside it are balls, and letting them go by counts as Good Eye. Each at-bat lists its goal and how many strikes you can afford.
What is Home Run Hero?
Home Run Hero is a free baseball batting game on ZOQSY. In 50 at-bats you read each pitch, place your bat and time your swing to get hits and home runs.
How do I hit a home run?
Swing on time with the sweet spot right on the ball or slightly under it. Strong, square contact launched at a good angle clears the outfield wall.
What are balls and takes?
Pitches outside the dashed strike zone are balls. If you don't swing at one, it counts as a take (Good Eye) and earns points; some at-bats require takes.
Are the teams and players real?
No. Home Run Hero is an original game with invented players and no real leagues, teams or stadiums.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes — press and drag to aim, release to swing. It works on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
Is Home Run Hero free?
