Magic 3D: Wizard Duel

Draw spells to duel a rival wizard on a floating rune arena: Λ for fire, Z for ice, O for a shield that reflects bolts. Three AI levels, best of three rounds.

About the Game

Magic 3D: Wizard Duel is a 3D spell-casting duel on a floating rune arena under the stars. Cast spells by drawing gestures on the screen: a Λ throws a fireball that burns, a Z throws a faster ice shard that freezes and slows, and a circle raises a shield. Prefer buttons? Every spell also has an on-screen button and a key. Spells interact. Fire on a frozen wizard deals one and a half times the damage, and ice puts out flames. A shield blocks bolts, and raised at the last moment it reflects the bolt back at its caster. Bolts that meet in mid-air collide: fire and ice burst into steam, two fireballs flare, two ice shards shatter. Strafe left and right to dodge, and manage your mana. The rival is a rule-based AI at three levels: the Apprentice reacts slowly, the Adept dodges and aims ahead, and the Archmage reflects, counters and punishes. Win two rounds to take the duel; your best score is saved in your browser. All characters are original.

How to Play

Choose the Apprentice, Adept or Archmage and press Play. Draw a Λ on the screen to cast fire, a Z for ice and a circle for a shield — or use the buttons or the J, K and L keys. Each spell costs mana, which refills over time. Strafe with A and D or the arrows to dodge incoming bolts. Raise your shield just before a bolt hits to reflect it. Freeze your rival with ice, then hit them with fire for extra damage. Bring the rival's health to zero to win the round; win two rounds to win the duel.

Gameplay Tips

  • Ice first, then fire: thermal shock deals 1.5× damage.
  • A late shield reflects — an early one only blocks.
  • Do not cast when you are low on mana; keep enough for a shield.
  • Against the Archmage, strafe before you cast so your bolts are harder to reflect.

FAQ

What is Magic 3D: Wizard Duel?

A free 3D duel on ZOQSY where you draw spell gestures — fire, ice and shield — to defeat a rival wizard controlled by the computer.

Do I have to draw the gestures?

No. Every spell has an on-screen button and a keyboard key, so you can play without drawing.

Which gestures are recognised?

A Λ (an upside-down V) for fire, a Z for ice and a circle for the shield. A stroke that matches none of them is ignored.

How do I reflect a spell?

Raise the shield at the last moment, a fraction of a second before the bolt hits. A shield raised earlier only blocks it.

Is there online play?

No. You duel a computer wizard at one of three difficulty levels.
