Krillion: Deep Sea Swarm

Lead a glowing krill swarm through the deep ocean: feed to grow, form a turtle shell or a shark silhouette, and slip past lantern fish, anglers and eels.

About the Game

Krillion: Deep Sea Swarm puts you in charge of a bioluminescent swarm of krill in an original deep-sea world. Swim through three zones — Twilight Reef, Midnight Trench and Abyssal Vents — feeding on nutrient clouds to grow the swarm, then pass through each zone's current gate. Predators hunt you: lantern fish, anglers and, in the vents, eels. The swarm answers with formations. Gather it into a tight, fast ball, scatter it with a burst to escape a bite, hold a turtle shell so a bite takes at most one krill, or form a shark silhouette that sends predators fleeing at the cost of energy. Jellyfish drift through the water. Every krill is simulated, so the swarm flows and splits as it moves. The ocean ambience is generated live; mute it or change the volume in Settings. Endless Drift lets you feed and survive for as long as you can. Your best result is saved in your browser.

How to Play

Choose Descent or Endless Drift and press Play. Swim with W A S D or the arrow keys, or drag on the left half of a touch screen. Swim into nutrient clouds to add krill to your swarm; when the zone's target is reached, head for the current gate. Hold Space to pull the swarm into a fast, tight ball, and press Shift to scatter it when a predator lunges. Hold Q for a turtle shell, which limits each bite to one krill, or hold E to form a shark silhouette that scares predators away while your energy lasts.
