Drive a retro convertible down an original Route 66-inspired highway from desert noon to neon night: weave through traffic, drift the curves and beat the clock.
About the Game
America 3D: Route 66 Run is a 3D road-trip racing game on an original highway inspired by Route 66. Drive a retro convertible 6.2 km through five fictional stretches — Dustwater Flats, Redrock Junction, Neon Springs, Coyote Pass and the Starlight Diner Run — past motels, gas stations and diners with neon signs, cacti, mesas and telephone poles. The light changes as you go, from midday sun through dusk and sunset to night, when the headlights come on. A countdown runs from the start and every town checkpoint adds time. Traffic is readable — sedans, pickups, campers and trucks keep to their lanes and follow each other — and hitting one spins you out. Close passes score near-miss bonuses and refill nitro; drift through curves for points and collect stars and nitro cans on the road. Reach the pier at the end of the road to finish; your best score is saved in your browser. All towns and businesses are fictional.
How to Play
Press Play. Accelerate with W or the up arrow and steer with A and D or the arrow keys. Stay on the asphalt — the sand slows you down. Pass the town checkpoints before the countdown reaches zero; each one adds time. Weave between cars without touching them: close passes give bonus points and nitro. Hold Space in a curve to drift for points, and press Shift to fire nitro. Collect stars and nitro cans on the road. On a touch screen the car accelerates by itself; steer with the arrows and use BRAKE, DRIFT and NITRO.
