About the Game

Brick Breaker is ZOQSY's take on the classic paddle-and-ball arcade game, and the third game built on the ZOQSY Engine. Move your paddle to keep the ball in play and smash through a grid of bricks above — orange bricks take two hits to break, purple bricks break in one. Clear every brick to advance to a faster level, break bricks for points, and don't let the ball fall past your paddle three times. Your best score is saved on this device, and four achievements track real milestones as you play.

How to Play

Move your paddle with the Arrow Keys, A/D, your mouse, or by dragging on a touch device — the ball will stick to your paddle until you launch it with a click, a tap, or Space. Once launched, the ball bounces off the walls, your paddle, and the bricks above; where it hits your paddle changes the angle it bounces off at, so hitting near the edge sends it out at a sharper angle. Orange bricks take two hits to break and crack visibly after the first; purple bricks break in one hit. Clear every brick to advance to the next level, which speeds the ball up. You start with three lives — the ball falling past your paddle costs one, and the run ends when you run out. Press Escape or P (or the pause button in the top-right corner) to pause mid-run. Your best score is saved automatically on this device.

Gameplay Tips

• •Hit the ball with the edge of your paddle to send it out at a steep angle when you need to reach a brick off to one side.
• •Orange (two-hit) bricks are worth more than twice as much as purple ones — prioritizing them early is usually worth the extra hit.
• •The ball speeds up with every level cleared, so widen your paddle movements and react a beat earlier once you're a few levels in.
