About the Game
2048 is ZOQSY's build of the classic sliding-tile merge puzzle, and the fourth game built on the ZOQSY Engine. Slide every tile on a 4x4 grid in one direction at a time — up, down, left, or right — and any two tiles with the same number that collide merge into one tile worth double. A new tile appears after every move that actually changes the board. Reach the 2048 tile to win, and keep playing past it for a higher score if you want. The run ends when the grid is full and no more merges are possible. Your best score and highest tile ever reached are saved on this device.
How to Play
Every move slides all the tiles on the board as far as they can go in the direction you choose — Arrow Keys, WASD, or a swipe on a touch device. When two tiles with the same number collide during a slide, they merge into a single tile worth their combined value; each tile can only merge once per move. After any move that actually changes the board, a new tile (a 2, usually, occasionally a 4) appears in a random empty cell. Reach a 2048 tile to trigger a win — the game keeps going afterward if you want to chase a higher score. The run ends once the grid is completely full and no two adjacent tiles share a value, meaning no move is possible. Press Escape or P (or the pause button in the top-right corner) to pause mid-run, or use the New Game button to restart at any time. Your best score and the highest tile you've ever reached are saved automatically on this device.

Gameplay Tips
- Keep your highest tile parked in a corner and build around it rather than letting it wander — most strong 2048 runs favor one or two directions and rarely use the other two.
- Don't chase small merges greedily — a move that keeps your board organized is often worth more than one that merges two tiles but scrambles everything else.
- When the board gets crowded, slow down and check whether a move actually opens up space before making it — a move that doesn't change the board doesn't spawn a new tile, so it's free to try.
