Cut Smart. Land Safe.
Cut the right ropes in the right order to bring every hero safely down — 50 handcrafted physics puzzles.
Rope Rescue is an original physics logic puzzle with 50 handcrafted levels. Little heroes dangle from ropes over spikes, pits and fragile glass, and your only tool is the cut: tap or swipe a rope to snip it, and the scene's real physics takes over — heroes swing, fall, bounce and land. Getting them onto the green landing pads is all about which rope goes first and when. The levels are grouped into five chapters — First Cuts, Chain Reactions, Danger Zone, Rope Lab and Master Rigger — that introduce pendulum swings and momentum, counterweights on pulleys, switches and trapdoors, spiked maces, spinning saws, moving platforms and cable cars, portals, springs, braided ropes that need two cuts, frayed ropes that snap under load, bungees, burning fuses and padlocked chains. Later levels add star collectibles, checkpoints, cut limits and time limits, and the final level, The Grand Rescue, brings them together for three heroes with five cuts and no undo. Every level ships with a solution that has been verified on the game's own deterministic physics, so each one is solvable.
Each level shows a small rig of ropes, anchors and platforms with one or more heroes hanging in it, and a short goal at the top — for example "Rescue both heroes" or "Land on the moving platform". Tap or click a rope to cut it, or swipe across one or several ropes. When a rope goes, the physics takes over: a hero still held by another rope swings toward it, a free hero falls, and anything connected reacts. A hero is rescued when they come to rest on a green landing pad — the plain ground, spikes and saws don't count, and glass pads shatter if someone lands too hard. The order of your cuts usually decides everything, and on moving levels so does the timing: cut while the swing is heading the right way, or when the platform slides underneath. Rope types look different so you can read a rig at a glance — blue braided ropes need two cuts, frayed orange ropes snap under extra load, green bungees stretch and bounce, grey fuses burn through on their own, chains can't be cut and purple padlocked ropes only open when their switch is pressed. Use Undo to step back one cut, or Restart. Fewer cuts, faster rescues and collected stars score higher, for up to three stars per level, and your progress is saved in this browser.
What is Rope Rescue?
Rope Rescue is a free physics puzzle game on ZOQSY. Heroes hang from ropes above spikes and gaps; you cut the ropes in the right order, and at the right time, so that everyone lands safely on the green pads.
How many levels are there?
50 handcrafted levels in five chapters, ending with The Grand Rescue, a final puzzle that combines most of the game's mechanics.
How do I cut a rope?
Tap or click it, or swipe across it — a swipe can cut several ropes at once. On a keyboard, pick a rope with the arrow keys and press Enter.
Can I undo a mistake?
Yes. Undo steps back to the exact moment before your last cut on every level except the final one, which is played without undo. Restart is always available.
Are all the levels solvable?
Yes. Every level has a stored solution that is replayed and checked on the game's own physics during development.
Can I play Rope Rescue on my phone?
Yes. It's designed for phones in portrait first, with large tap areas around every rope, and also plays with a mouse or keyboard on desktop.
Is Rope Rescue free?
Yes — it's completely free to play in your browser, with no download, no account and no purchases. Progress is saved locally in your browser.
