About the Game
ZOQSY Hangman is a word puzzle game with 100 handcrafted English puzzles in ten chapters: Everyday Words, Animals & Nature, Food & Cooking, Home & Daily Life, Sports & Outdoors, Travel & Places, Science & Tech, Music & Movies, Sayings & Know-How, and Expert Words. Every puzzle gives you a category, a clue in plain American English and a picture — an illustration of the answer on many early puzzles, a chapter emblem on the rest. Pick letters on the on-screen keyboard or type them: a right letter shows up everywhere it appears in the word, and every wrong one adds a part to the figure on the gallows — head, body, arms, then legs. Six misses and the round is lost, the word is revealed and you can try again. Spaces and hyphens in phrases like Hot Dog or Drive-In are filled in for you. Stuck? Buy an extra clue or reveal a letter, at a cost in points; hints can never finish the word for you. Each solved puzzle unlocks the next one and scores points for the word, the misses you had left and your win streak — there is no timer. Your progress, best scores and streak are saved in your browser.
How to Play
Read the category, the clue and the picture, then guess one letter at a time: tap a letter on the on-screen keyboard or type it. A correct letter appears in every slot where it belongs; a wrong letter adds the next part to the figure — head, body, left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg. Guessing the same letter twice costs nothing. Fill in every letter before the sixth miss to solve the puzzle and unlock the next level; on the sixth miss the round is lost, the word is shown, and you can try again. Spaces and hyphens are already filled in. If you get stuck, Clue shows a second clue for 20 points and Letter reveals a letter for 40 points (up to twice per puzzle, and never the last letters). Press Escape or the pause button to pause, restart the level, change the sound or pick another level.

How many levels are there?
100 puzzles in ten chapters of ten, from everyday words to expert vocabulary and idioms. Solving a puzzle unlocks the next one.
How many wrong guesses do I get?
Six. Each wrong letter adds one part — head, body, two arms, two legs — and the sixth miss ends the round. Repeating a letter you already tried never counts as a miss.
How do hints work?
Clue shows a second clue for 20 points. Letter reveals one letter of the word for 40 points, up to twice per puzzle, and never when it would finish the word.
How is my score calculated?
A solved puzzle scores 100 points plus 10 per different letter in the word, plus 25 for every miss you had left, minus any hint costs, plus a bonus of 10% per consecutive win (up to 50%). There is no time limit.
Is my progress saved?
Yes — unlocked levels, best scores and your streak are saved in your browser on this device. No account is needed.
